Test Anxiety Support
Take It Easy: a better way through test anxiety
You studied. You prepared. You knew the material.
And then the test arrived—and suddenly your heart was racing, your thoughts were scrambled, or your brain transformed into a Teflon non-stick frying pan.
That doesn’t mean the knowledge is gone.
It doesn’t mean you aren’t smart enough, prepared enough, or capable enough. It means anxiety has gotten between you and what you know.
Take It Easy is a self-paced, downloadable program designed to help you understand what test anxiety is doing, calm the stress response, and find your way back to your knowledge when the pressure gets loud.

Test Anxiety may look and feel like:
-
Knowing the answer at home but going blank during the test
-
Racing thoughts, nausea, shaking, sweating, or a pounding heart
-
Losing sleep the night before
-
Avoiding studying because just starting feels overwhelming
-
Studying endlessly but never feeling prepared
-
Rushing, second-guessing, or changing correct answers
-
Feeling as though one result says something enormous about who you are
You are not broken. And you are definitely not the only person this ever happens to.
Test anxiety affects capable, hardworking, really intelligent people all the time. The good news is that there are skills you can learn and practice to make it more manageable.
This is not about studying harder; it's about finding an easy way back to what you already know.
What You’ll Find Inside
Take It Easy combines short, conversational lessons with tools you can actually use before, during, and after a test.
You’ll learn how to:
-
Recognize what anxiety is doing in your brain and body
-
Interrupt the panic cycle before it takes over
-
Recover when your mind goes blank
-
Use breathing and grounding without making either one a complicated production or looking ridiculous
-
Prepare in ways that support recall instead of increasing pressure
-
Build a steadier pre-test routine
-
Practice retrieving information when the stakes are low
-
Recover after a difficult result without turning it into a verdict on your future
The program also includes guided hypnosis audio tracks, printable resources, course cards, phone screens, and a dedicated section for parents, caregivers, educators, coaches, and other supportive humans.
This Is Not Another Enormous Assignment
There are no grades here. There is no prize for completing Take It Easy fastest. There is also no stern attendance lady taking names.
The lessons are intentionally short. You can move through the program in order, jump directly to what you need, or return to a particular tool more than once.
Use it before the next test, throughout a demanding school term, or while preparing for a major exam.
Take It Easy can support students facing classroom tests, finals, standardized tests, college entrance exams, professional exams, driving tests, employment assessments, and other high-pressure testing situations.
For the People Beside the Test-Taker
It can be hard to know what to say or do when someone you care about is struggling with test anxiety.
Should you offer encouragement? Help them practice? Give them space? Leave a note in their backpack? Pretend you aren’t hovering when everyone knows you are absolutely hovering?
The supporter section of Take It Easy helps parents, caregivers, educators, coaches, and other trusted people understand what may be happening—and offer support without accidentally adding more pressure.
Created by a Real Person Who Cares About What Happens Next
I’m Andrew, a certified hypnotherapist and life coach specializing in work with teens and young adults.
I created Take It Easy because test anxiety can convince smart, prepared people that they aren’t capable. I wanted to offer something practical, warm, affordable, and genuinely useful—not a clinical lecture or another mountain of work.
Change by Doing Coaching is a small business. Every lesson, tool, recording, and slightly smart-alecky reminder in this program was created with care.
Although the course is self-paced, you are not being handed a stack of materials and sent alone into the wilderness. I’m a real person, and I’m here if you have a question or need help along the way.
Ready for a Better Way Through?
You don’t have to eliminate every nervous feeling before you can do well. You can be nervous and ready.
You can learn how to find your footing when anxiety gets loud.
And you can begin building a different relationship with tests.

Would Private Support
Be More Helpful?
A self-paced program is a great fit for many people. Others benefit from more individualized support—or want to combine the program with private sessions.
I work one-to-one with teens, young adults, and adults to address their particular experience of test anxiety. Depending on your needs, our work may include hypnotherapy, coaching, stress-management strategies, confidence rehearsal, sleep support, and a personalized plan for upcoming tests.
